Yacht rental Ibiza prices: day charter rates and what is included

Wondering what it costs to rent a yacht in Ibiza for the day? Prices depend on the boat, the season and what is included. This page is a plain-English guide to day charter rates for RIBs, motor yachts and catamarans, what is usually included with a skipper, and how to get an exact quote on WhatsApp.

How day charters work

Every charter through The Yacht Broker Club is a private day charter, never a shared trip and never a bareboat rental. You get the whole boat to yourselves, a professional skipper is included in every price, so nobody in your group needs a boating licence, and the standard charter runs about eight hours, typically leaving an Ibiza marina mid-morning and returning by evening. That format is the same whether you book a fast RIB, a classic motor yacht or a wide catamaran: one boat, one skipper, one clear day rate. Most days include a crossing to Formentera, a swim stop at a sandbank, and lunch on board or ashore, with your skipper adjusting the route for wind and sea conditions on the day.

How season affects the price

Day rates move with the calendar. July and August are Ibiza's peak season, when demand is highest and every boat sits at its top rate, and popular boats can book out weeks in advance. May, June, September and October are the shoulder months: the sea is still warm, the island is calmer, and day rates typically drop by 20 to 30 percent compared with peak summer. Early and late season can be even better value on the boats that operate then, though fewer boats run outside the main season. If your dates are flexible, booking outside July and August is the simplest way to get better value without giving up much good weather.

Price ranges by boat type

The ranges below are real day rates from boats currently on our site, not estimates. They cover eight hours with a skipper, and move up or down with the season as explained above. Exact rates vary boat by boat and by date, and we always confirm the final price in writing on WhatsApp before you book, so there is never a surprise once you are on the water.

  • RIB: Day rates run from about €641 up to around €1,800 for eight hours with a skipper, the most affordable way onto the water and the fastest way to Formentera. See RIB rental in Ibiza for the current fleet and live rates.
  • Motor yacht: Day rates run from about €650 for a compact day boat up to €28,000+ for our largest superyachts in peak season, with most motor yacht charters landing between roughly €1,500 and €3,000 for eight hours. See motor yacht rental in Ibiza.
  • Catamaran: Day rates run from about €900 up to around €12,700 for our largest catamaran, with most catamarans between roughly €1,200 and €6,000 a day depending on size and season. See catamaran rental in Ibiza.

Above these three main ranges sit a handful of superyachts, multi-cabin motor yachts and one large catamaran that can run well past €10,000 a day, aimed at larger groups, longer itineraries or a full luxury experience rather than a straightforward day out. If that is what you are after, tell us on WhatsApp and we will show you the boats that fit.

What is included and what is extra

Included in every day rate: the private yacht, a professional skipper, and the standard eight-hour charter window. Often extra: fuel, charged based on how far you cruise, APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance, a deposit used to cover onboard running costs on some boats), catering or lunch ashore, and water toys such as paddleboards, snorkel gear or a jet ski. Some boats include more of this as standard than others, which is one reason two boats at a similar day rate can end up costing a different amount on the day. What is included differs from boat to boat, so we always confirm the full breakdown in writing on WhatsApp before you pay, no surprises once you are on the water.

How to book

Message us on WhatsApp with your date, group size and rough budget. We shortlist the boats that are actually free that day and match your preferred boat type, then send you day rates and what is included so you can compare before deciding. Once you confirm, everything, price, extras and departure time, is agreed in writing before you pay, no forms and no account needed. For a full example of what the day itself looks like, from departure to swim stops, see our Ibiza to Formentera day charter guide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Ibiza for a day?

Day rates depend on the boat and season. RIBs run from about €641 to around €1,800, motor yachts from about €650 up to €28,000+ for the largest superyachts (most falling between about €1,500 and €3,000), and catamarans from about €900 to around €12,700. Is fuel included?

Usually not. Fuel is typically charged as an extra on top of the day rate and varies with how far you cruise. We confirm the estimated fuel cost in writing before you book.

What is APA?

APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance, a deposit used on some charters to cover onboard extras such as fuel, food and drink. Not every boat here uses APA, we tell you exactly what applies to your chosen boat before you pay.

Is it cheaper outside July and August?

Yes. May, June, September and October are shoulder season, with day rates typically 20 to 30 percent lower than the July and August peak, while the weather is still good for swimming.

Do we need a boating licence?

No. Every charter includes a professional skipper, so nobody in your group needs a licence. This is standard across the whole fleet, including RIBs, motor yachts and catamarans.
